# Cost और performance guardrails

Token या अनुमानित लागत बजट पार होने पर Arka hosted requests को dispatch से पहले block
करता है। Cost guardrails Local-only मॉडलों को कभी block नहीं
करते। Arka अपने cache में केवल aggregate counters स्टोर करता है, prompts नहीं।

Grounded mode डिफ़ॉल्ट रूप से सक्षम है (`ARKA_GROUNDED_MODE=1`)। यह unrequested
mock data को block करता है और model-facing requests को निर्देश देता है कि वर्तमान
जानकारी के लिए symbolic tools या configured APIs का उपयोग करें। जब तक आप स्पष्ट
रूप से mock, prototype, placeholder, या example design न माँगें, Arka असली data,
असली integrations, और production-shaped error handling की ओर झुकता है। केवल
prototyping के समय अक्षम करें:

Production mode भी डिफ़ॉल्ट रूप से सक्षम है (`ARKA_PRODUCTION_MODE=1`)। Arka coding
requests को access control, secret-safe data handling, input और output
validation, prompt-injection defenses, audit logging, tests, error handling, और
observability शामिल करने का निर्देश देता है। इसे केवल स्पष्ट रूप से
disposable prototypes के लिए अक्षम करें।

Data minimization डिफ़ॉल्ट रूप से schema-only mode
(`ARKA_DATA_MODE=schema`) है। मॉडलों को भेजे गए JSON payloads को field
names/types या array counts के रूप में summarize किया जाता है; literal
trade-secret values लोकल tools के लिए उपलब्ध रहते हैं लेकिन मॉडल को expose नहीं
किए जाते। केवल तभी `ARKA_DATA_MODE=full` का उपयोग करें जब data साझा करना सुरक्षित हो।
